MVPTime, a 4-year-old son of Metallics MVP, is turning heads in Las Vegas as he and Cody Lamont make their debut following his recent sale to Lauren Salon. Marking a 75 for a second-place finish on Wednesday, MVPTime has cashed checks in three of four Open Derbies at the Rocking K Productions Mane Event VI, which wrapped up on Sunday, February 16. With over $3,500 in Vegas winnings, he is quickly closing in on $115,000 in lifetime earnings—an impressive feat for a young horse whose career only began at the NCHA Futurity last November.
A standout from Metallics MVP’s first foal crop, MVPTime led the way at the NCHA Futurity, winning the MVP Stallion Incentive and advancing to the Open Semi-Finals with trainer Grant Setnicka. Metallics MVP’s first crop had 11 horses competing at the Futurity, with an impressive percentage advancing to the Semi-Finals, ranking 2nd among all sires

Known around the barn as “Shaq,” MVPTime boasts one of the strongest pedigrees of Metallics MVP’s first crop. His dam, Gini One Time, earned $129,094 in her career and has produced over $317,000 in money earners, including Sniperr, the six-year-old stallion with multiple Aged Event championships and $163,396 in lifetime earnings. Another standout from Metallics MVP’s debut foal crop is She Is A Dirty Diana, the talented filly campaigned by Michael Cooper to $101,604 in earnings at small futurities last fall.
With such strong performances from his first foal crop, Metallics MVP is proving to be a sire to watch—and these standouts are just getting started.
